Has anyone figured out what the flood's affects are?

[Heero has been totally ignoring Cooper's suggestions that he should be taking it easy on his busted femur, which is actually healing pretty well despite his whole "I can rest when I'm dead" philosophy, and is currently walking around on deck, looking like his usual linefacey and somewhat morose/grouchy/don't talk to me, I've got other stuff to do self.]

[ooc: Heero is affected, so if you want to run into him, he will parrot back whatever you're feeling, and he can be just about anywhere on the Barge if you want him to be. That said, I'd prefer crackier interactions to SRS BSNS DRAMA, although that doesn't mean Heero can't be approached by depressed/grumpy people. <3]

Some people seem more unstable than usual, if Wichita's post was any indication. Otherwise I've not noticed much of a difference.

[And later, Rhade decides to head up to the deck for whatever reason. Maybe that he's bored with below deck. The stars are nice, though he's still mostly convinced they're fake.

He's standing near the rail, his hands on it, knowing people are up here because he can distantly hear them walking around but fairly secure in the knowledge that he'll be safe if he tries something incredibly risky. Which he does, kicking off the ground and doing a fucking hand stand on the thing for a good ten seconds.

He doesn't even drop back down normally. He shifts so his feet drop to the railing, crouching on it with his hands gripping tightly. Survival was good, yes. But what was the point of surviving if you couldn't survive risks.]

[Heero still wasn't sure if he was affected or not. He'd kept a distance from most other people after heading outside his room, and as such, he'd been pretty normal and hadn't realized there was or would be anything different.

But, as he approached Rhade, the normal grouchy attitude changed to a sort of more confident, almost cocky stride, and while usually, he might have just raised an eyebrow and either waited to be noticed or moved on entirely, now he wandered over to the man, wondering what exactly he was doing on the railing of the ship.]

[Any emotion that isn't tempered is an emotion that can be exploited. Rage that renders you inferior or happiness that exposes your weaknesses. So, when Heero comes up to greet him, Rhade drops down casually and straightens out his coat.]

Heero. I see you've decided to brave the flood.

[And what comes with that statement is a huge dose of happiness. Rhade didn't have any family on board, so a bunch of humans had been shoved into their place and Heero had the misfortune (or fortune?) of being one of those humans. Were it anyone with a weaker sense of self-control he'd probably end up getting a hug about now. As it is, he got a smile.]

[And that huge dose of happiness is immediately transferred to Heero, who while admittedly did like Rhade, would not have generally expressed it like... well. This.

In that he immediately grins brightly and answers the question like this is absolutely no big deal.]
