A while ago, I asked if humanity had made contact with aliens by the time period of others on the Barge. It seemed like most people had at least sent people into space. We've set up space colonies orbiting Earth, but we haven't made first contact with any alien lifeforms yet. Space travel isn't necessarily uncommon, but only politicians and military officials frequently travel between Earth and the Colonies.

What's considered normal technology for your world? Is commercial space travel available?

I'm still interested in sparring, assuming another flood isn't going to hit in the next few hours.

In the past fifteen years. But Earth has been suffering for millennia. When the Commonwealth was at its strongest, Earth had no prominence within it.

What happened to the Commonwealth or what happened to Earth? Various things happened to Earth. Global warming. Nightsiders and other invasive species. Mineral stripping. Viruses. Laws against genetic engineering when the subspecies appeared, but repealed too late. The Magog.... And then Nietzscheans took it when it was at it's weakest. [There's the smallest hint of hate in his voice for that last one. Fuck those Nietzscheans. He resents being related to them.]

Many human worlds have remained successful. Earth's relatively minor role gave birth to a greater legacy.

But no. It's not a particularly good future. Even the Nietzschean homeworld is gone, and the Prides were forced to find individual homeworlds because of it.

No world has few enough problems to justify that. [Haaaate. So much hate.]
