Well, there are people who think we haven't, then there are the folks who think something happened in the forties and then you've got the whole 'chariots of the gods' stuff, which'd mean we've never been out of contact.

All those old myths and legends about 'people from the stars' and stuff. Romans seeing 'shields in the sky' and what have you.

Basically, some people think aliens came down, tinkered around with ape DNA and that's how human beings got made.

I'm not saying I believe it, but I've messed around with a lot of freaky shit over the years. Let's just say it wouldn't surprise me.
